As I’ve posted many times on this blog, I’m a huge fan of DotA (Defense of the Ancients). It is only right that I suddenly become enamored with Heroes of Newerth (HoN), a game by S2Games currently in beta that matches the functionality of DotA and adds a layer of awesomeness on top.
I’ve played a number of games so far and have found one of my biggest hurdles is re-learning the heroes in HoN. Luckily, many of the heroes are simply ports of DotA heroes but learning who is who is also a slow process. Here are heroes in HoN with their DotA equivalents:

but im confused,HoN has 19 heroes,but when i counted this its 20!!!

I found 2 errors (in my opinion)
Voodoo jester = Alchemist
Glacius = Lich King
new hero Corrupted Disciple = Razor

Well, bman you are wrong.
Voodoo is Witch Doc 100%, all spells the same.
Glacius is Crystal 100%, all spells the same.
And now, the heroes that similar 2 dota ones but they are not the same:
a) Scout = by the look he associate on Gondar, (with ward as spell, and ulty is similar 2 snipers)
b) Arachna = Drow Ranger (Same 1st and 3rd spell. 2nd one is not silence, when its activated it gives u more magic resist on some time. And ulty, you throw spider on your opponent and spider is atking him and slowing. Spider can only be killed by heroes !
Arachna is more like viper than drow IMHO

first of all voodoo is not 100% witch doctor cause u can cast his heal spell to do dmg but other than that they are the same and scout is sniper and gondar with the crit and disarm and ult and wards and invis.

I’ve been playing dota since Stealth Assasin had witch doctors ult (probably 5 years now) honestly HoN is not as smooth as you think it is. Its actually horrible and I wouldnt want my best friend to try and learn this game its just not as simplistic as people say. I thought I’d be used to this game after one week but yet I still find myself taking a while to find items and the click delay is soo much different that Dota that it will piss anybody off. I’m running alienware with fios fiber optic internet so i know its not my comp. They really need to even out the characters more because I found there is an exceptional amount of overpowered heros
