(found via Digg) Amazon currently has a $4 million tv up for sale. In all actuality, Trinet Electronic Networks seems to have entered an incorrect price for the 32″ LCD television which has sparked a few interesting comments:

I was kind of sketch about buying this specific unit because of the price, but the reviews and descriptions were promising. Once I got it, I opened the box and realized it’s covered in gold and has diamond studs all over it! It has an amazing picture, it’s definately a conversation piece!

I often think back to my childhood and remember when the cartoons were actually worth watching. They were fun, colorful, and generally wholesome. Good times. Remember these: He-Man, Ducktales, Gummi Bears, The Wuzzles, The Smurfs, Shirttales, Teddy Ruxpin, Jem and the Holograms, Strawberry Shortcake, Rainbow Brite.

Well, I came across a site (RetroJunk) that allows you to walk down memory lane and view the intros to many of your favorite childhood shows from the 70′s, 80′s and 90′s! Cartoons and regular shows…plus it has some retro commercials (including a couple about NES and its games). As my wife and I were perusing the shows/commercials, we found ourselves remembering shows that we had forgotten about completely! There are some obscure ones there (Foofur, Count Duckula, Eureeka’s Castle, Denver the Last Dinosaur, etc :D) Check out the site…its awesome ;)

Once cartoon that I’m bummed that they don’t have on there is the Monchhichi’s…that cartoon is sooo incredibly hard to find information on. It must have been pretty short lived. Anyone else remember that one?

65 out of 490 young ladies who attend Timkin High School in Canton, Ohio are preggers, and video games may be to blame, according to a local Ohio newspaper, which had this to say on the subject:

Whose fault is it that more than 13 percent of Timken’s girls are with child? Some would say fault-finding isn’t a fruitful exercise, but in this case, it’s critical. Suspects range from movies, TV and video games to lazy parents and lax discipline. Only one thing is sure: Schools don’t impregnate children.

The blog post at Joystiq is referring to this article at cantonrep.com. Yes, it is a very sad thing that so many young girls in that school are becoming pregnant. But, what I want to know is how someone can even claim that the pregnancies are caused by electronic media. It’s lack of sex education both in schools and in homes. It’s the irresponsiblity of these teenagers and the poor influence around the town that is the cause of these pregnancies…not TV and videogames. I mean, come on…when was the last time you played the video game: “Uber-Pregnancy Power” or watched the kids show: “C’mon Kids, Pregnancy can be FUN!” When I was in highschool, I watched the same type of shows that are on today and I didn’t run around getting everyone pregnant.
