Here’s the awesome Transformers trailer that aired during the American Idol finale. In this one we get to hear Bumblebee speak (highly cool), check it out:
I saw this new Transformers trailer when I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean last night. I’m drooling over this movie more and more.
An extended Transformers Trailer was released a couple of days ago…2.5 minutes of awesome transforming bliss. Here’s the trailer from YouTube:
The poster of the video on YouTube writes:
This video was converted from a large resolution high-def video file, not from a screen capture which some people have posted. (BTW, feel free to blog/link this anywhere, it’s the best trailer yet).
Gives a little more insight to the storyline, including Earth’s reaction to their arrival, and it appears that Bumblebee is not going to have a particularly easy time of it.
A lot of footage we’ve seen before, but plenty we haven’t. This ain’t no cartoon, kids. Looks like we’re talking Transformers with a body-count and major property damage (not just a few dings in a couple of buildings, or a shootout confined entirely to the desert).
Note the arrival of the protoform Transformers (the “asteroids” crashing to Earth) and the use of the classic transform sound (!!) in Optimus Prime’s transformation.
I like the “it’s probably Japanese” crack.
I became as giddy as a school girl when I found out that Blizzard had announced the much rumored and anticipated StarCraft II! As of now, while the game is still shrouded in Blizzard mystery (unannounced launch date, lack of details on planned game features, etc), the game is far along enough to provide some seriously stunning gameplay videos.
A few things are known about the game thus far: The 3 races that we know and love will be returning (Protoss, Zerg, and Terran). The way Blizzard words the FAQs leaves them open for adding a new playable race, however…that’d be nifty. What it would be is anybodies’ guess. Secondly, we know that Blizzard is stepping it up a notch with collision detection and how units interact with each other. What we see in the gameplay videos made me drool like an excited bull mastiff. Before I get to those, here’s the game announcement on the official site:
Featuring a unique single-player campaign that picks up where StarCraft: Brood War left off, StarCraft II will present a cast of new heroes and familiar faces in an edgy sci-fi story filled with adventure and intrigue. In addition, Blizzard will again offer unparalleled online play through Battle.net, the company’s world-renowned gaming service, with several enhancements and new features to make StarCraft II the ultimate competitive real-time strategy game.
* Fast-paced, hard-hitting, tightly balanced competitive real-time strategy gameplay that recaptures and improves on the magic of the original game
* Three completely distinct races: Protoss, Terran, and Zerg
* New units and gameplay mechanics further distinguish each race
* Groundbreaking single-player “story-mode” campaign
* Vibrant new 3D-graphics engine with support for dazzling visual effects and massive unit and army sizes
* Full multiplayer support, with new competitive features and matchmaking utilities available through Battle.net
* Full map-making and scripting tools to give players incredible freedom in customizing and personalizing their gameplay experience

I must say, when the first trailer was released, I was psyched. When the plot and non-trailer screenshots came out I even more psyched. Now that the second trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has been released…well, lets just say I wet myself. If you haven’t seen the trailer, check it out!
(Z let me know by posting)
Zach expressed his excitement about the upcoming super hero flick, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and I was excited to see the trailer Monday evening (although it was released on the 26th). The trailer follows The Human Torch chasing the Silver Surfer. The effects look great, and the Silver Surfer looks freaking awesome!
You can check out the trailer over at Quicktime. The movie’s release date is June 15th, 2007! w00t w00t!
There seems to be a pretty strong human component to this film which is important to me. Additionally, the trailer indicates a good strong amount of action. This is expected and welcome in a Michael Bay film (see Bad Boys). Finally, I really like how the transformers look. The special effects are spot on.
I find myself convulsing from the sheer excitement I have for this movie. I was a huge Transformers cartoon fan when I was little (remember way back then?) and the toys are still awesome. Causing particular excitement is this (somewhat blurry) shot of Bumblebee…he looks simply awesome:
In the trailer, the lines: “Some have come to save us. Most have come to destroy us.” make me super-giddy. The trailer was ballsy and I’m definitely counting down the days till opening night (July 4th, 2007)!
Note: the Decepticon at the top of the post is Blackout.
Nice! On March 30th of next year a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie is coming out! Talk about a blast from the past. While this movie isn’t live-action like the previous 3, the CG in the trailer gives me high hopes. I’m a huge fan of the Ninja Turtles and was excited when they made a come-back a few years ago and this is just icing on the cake.
Next year is bound to be good…Transformers AND TMNT. w00t!
The Transformers Exclusive Teaser has been announced! w00t! (I first heard about it at Rated-M) You can head on over to the Official Transformers Movie Site and see it for yourself. Sexy stuff…but its definately a teaser. The sweet new movie is due out July 4, 2007.
(More details to follow when I watch it a bit more)
