0.07% of the World’s Population Plays World of Warcraft
World of Warcraft has increased in numbers since my last post. 0.07% of the World’s Population play WoW. Thats crazy. Doesn’t seem like much? Well, its 5 million people. What will that number be after Christmas? And yes, WoW has gained me as a subscriber once more…

Posted: Jul 22nd, 2008 at 9:36 pmReply to this comment.does anybody here know how to do math? i know this thread is old as hell but i cant believe no one used their calculator to realize that 10,000,000/6,000,000,000 != .07 ???? and 10mil players is a stretch since that number means 10million paid accounts. when you factor in people with multiple accounts and gold selling businesses the number is actually a lot less.

Sorry to burst your guys’ bubbles but IT’S JUST A GAME. You will not die if you can’t play it, in fact, your just wasting time in real life when you play games so obsessively. I’ve seen a friend’s marriage ruined over this, so I kind of feel sorry for you guys.

Everyone needs to just chill the hell out enjoy the game or don’t and get on with your lives. As far as the addiction thing, anything can be addicting.
