totally new and have just begun to learn html/css/js/jquery a month ago. Need to use this with html5 local storage to build a web app prototype. Great explanation. JSON does look way sexier and much more modular in grouping similar properties.

I’ve seen the same form a few times in this post and elsewhere, it’s not quite right. You need an extra forward slash in the match or you’ll add an extra one whenever you redirect someone.

RewriteRule ^/(.*)$ http://www.domain2.com/$1 [R=301,L]

Usually I’d suggest jQuery for everything, however in terms of OOP it does not provide much support. For that reason, we have adopted a small framework inspired by Extjs4, that works alongside with jQuery, but provides strong OOP support. Take a look at http://code.google.com/p/core-framework/

You should check out Mac Teleport instead since you are trying to set this type of thing up on only macs. It’s what I use at work.

i find the setup dificult. i have no idea about all that configuration file stuff it wants you to setup. i have a mac pro, and a mac laptop running xp on it.
